This Water, Sanitation and Environment blog site is published by Green Africa Foundation (GAF), a non-governmental organization.
Formed after the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio + 20), GAF stands to create advocacy, awareness, build capacity and organize events that are in line with environmental sustainability.
It also promotes green economy through publications, hence going beyond the United Nations Millennium Development Goals 2015 target.
The blog is the online version of the newspaper ‘Ghana Water and Sanitation Times,’ which is published twice every month.
Endorsement
The Ghana Water and Sanitation newspaper and this blog site have been endorsed by Ghana’s Ministries of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Local Government and Rural Development, Environment, Science and Technology, Energy and Petroleum, Education and Health as well as the Community Water and Sanitation Agency.
Also, organizations like the World Vision, Water Aid, Coalition of NGOs in Water and Sanitation, Safe Water Network, Duraplast among others have lauded its establishment.
The United Nations
The United Nations and its agencies in Ghana, have also welcomed this medium which propagates water, sanitation and environment issues from Ghana and elsewhere.
